Welcome to Troop 555, The Triple Nickel!

Troop 555 was established in September of 2012. It was the vision of a group of scouts who were looking for a more challenging scouting experience than they were getting. They wanted a truly boy-led troop with a focus on service, scout skills, backpacking and adventure. The adults in the troop see their roles as mentors, counselors and facilitators, helping the scouts to plan activities and advance in rank. As a troop, we encourage both scouts and adults to take advantage of the many training opportunities available in scouting.

Troop 555 meets most Sundays from 6:00pm until 7:30pm at the Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1452 W. Southlake Blvd, Southlake, TX 76092 (directly across from Carroll Senior High School). We usually don't hold meetings on the weekends we have campouts. Please refer to the Upcoming Events list to the right if you are interested in specific meeting dates or troop activities.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Annual Recharter & YPT Renewal

As a troop, we have been blessed by the fundraising and frugality efforts of those who came before us. The Troop Committee voted Sunday night to hold registration costs to $50.00 per scout for 2025. In addition, all adults who are required to and have completed their YPT renewal by END OF DAY WEDNESDAY 12/11 will also be able to renew their registrations for $50.00. This is a significant savings!

RENEW YOUR Youth Protection Training ASAP

Troop Adults,

We cannot recharter the troop until all registered adult leaders whose Youth Protection Certifications expire during 2025 have renewed. WE CANNOT RECHARTER THE TROOP WITHOUT ENOUGH ELIGIBLE ADULT LEADERS. Please, please, please renew your YPT ASAP and send me a copy of the certificate to amykbei@gmail.com. Please.

11/3/2024: Mickman Brothers Sale at Trinity Presbyterian Church

The troop has the opportunity to sell our Mickman Brothers holiday wreaths and greens directly to members of Trinity Presbyterian Church on Sunday, November 3rd. Plan to wear Class A uniforms, please. Scouts will sell at a table in the church Narthex both before and after the church service. Mrs. Katrina has ordered sample products to display. Please RSVP if you will attend! Funds from sales at the church typically go to the troop's general fund to purchase camping/trailer equipment and to help pay for summer camp transportation.

January 21st Meeting: OA Elections & IMPORTANT Parent Meeting

We MUST have over 50% attendance by scouts at next Sunday's troop meeting to conduct Order of the Arrow Elections, and we have several scouts eligible. We need to show up to support these boys who have been faithfully attending and participating in scouting activities over the last 2 years to earn that eligibility.
